Haine Road Traffic

I  worked with Haine Road residents to raise a petition on their problems with speeding traffic.

Petition to Reduce Traffic on Haine Road 2009

Local residents wanted more traffic calming to reduce speeding and damage to parked vehicles. I launched this petition on my blog From One End of Kent on 8th July 2009.

Dozens of Haine Road residents lead by Peter Smith  came to a meeting of Thanet District Council to present their petition on 23rd July 2009. Peter spoke to the meeting.

Road humps have now been installed on Haine Road. There still remains a problem with some cars speeding.
